Our Team

Alex Redmond
Founder | Creative Business Advisor
Alex started Artisan Accounts to help creative people take control of their finances – without killing their spark. With a head for numbers and a heart for the creative process, he’s built a practice that cuts through the noise, speaks human, and actually helps. Whether it’s unravelling the mysteries of VAT, designing business models that work, or coaching clients out of their own way, Alex brings clarity, humour and zero financial jargon.
He’s also the founder of Aspiration UnLtd, where he supports creative entrepreneurs to align their money, mindset and mission. And yes – he enjoys a critically acclaimed French New Wave moment when the mood calls for it.
Jenny Smith
Senior Client Manager | HMRC Whisperer & Client Lifeline
Jenny is our go-to expert when it comes to keeping clients calm and compliant. With years of experience navigating the intricacies of tax returns, deadlines, and HMRC curveballs, she’s definitely the person you want in your corner when things get complicated. Whether she’s chasing down missing info, smoothing out the numbers, or translating HMRC-speak into plain English, Jenny brings precision, patience and a no-nonsense approach that clients trust. Also excellent at tracking down that one invoice you swore you sent.

Seema Patel
Client Coordinator | Deadline Enforcer & Friendly Pest
Seema is the one who’ll keep chasing you (kindly but relentlessly) until you get your paperwork in, your receipts uploaded, or your act together. She’s the glue that keeps client processes moving, HMRC happy, and the Artisan team sane. Equal parts organised, tenacious and persistent, Seema makes sure nothing falls through the cracks (including you). If you’ve ever thought “I really need someone to just stay on top of this,” congratulations – you’ve found her.
Abigail Kirwan
Trainee Accountant | Calm, Collected, Unflappable
Abigail brings a quiet confidence to your chaos. Whether it’s month-end mayhem or a last-minute client request, she doesn’t flap – because flapping doesn’t help. As a trainee accountant with a sharp eye for detail and a naturally steady approach, she’s quickly becoming a vital part of the team. She’s here to learn, support, and keep things moving – with minimal drama and maximum chill.

Aisling Newton
Communications Lead | Translator to Human
Aisling is in charge of making Artisan sound like Artisan – clear, warm, and never robotic. With a background in PR, marketing and strategic content across the creative industries, she helps turn tax, finance and business know-how into stuff real people actually want to read. She works across messaging, campaigns, and client comms, keeping the voice consistent and the commas (mostly) correct. She claims she never formally learned grammar – just vibes, commas, and a vague fear of semicolons.
And it never did her any harm.
Harvey
Office Dog | Head of Morale & Crumb Surveillance
Harvey doesn’t do spreadsheets, but he does keep a close eye on snack distribution and general vibes. He’s mostly here to supervise, snooze, and occasionally insist Alex goes for a walk. Essential to team wellbeing. Accepts payment in belly rubs (or Foie Gras)
